The four-question card test
- 01
Which deck receives the card—Explore or Combat?
- 02
What immediate failure does it fix: access, sustain, defense, damage, or consistency?
- 03
Is it useful when drawn alone, or only inside a fragile combination?
- 04
Does adding it make your best cards harder to draw at the moment you need them?
What is verified about the card pool
The official Steam description says each pathway combines roughly 300 Explore and Combat cards. That is an approximate, pathway-scoped statement—not evidence for a complete public database, an exact global total, or final Early Access balance.
This page is a card-choice framework. It does not present a complete catalog without the card image, effect text, owning deck, and game version together.
Pick for reliability before ceiling
| If your run lacks… | Prefer… | Be cautious with… |
|---|---|---|
| Safe exploration | Flexible movement or access | One-use route tricks with no fallback |
| Combat stability | Defense that works without setup | Payoffs that need several exact draws |
| Recovery | A usable roast/eat line | Ingredients that cannot become food on your current path |
| Boss damage | A repeatable finish | More setup when the deck already stalls |
